Lucille M. Duffy

June 28, 1933 - September 27, 2016

Lucille M. Dorgan Duffy 83, formally of Consaul Rd. Colonie, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2016 surrounded by family, love and laughter, just as she lived her life. Born in Troy, NY on June 28, 1933, then residing in North Albany and then Colonie, she was the wife of the late Francis H. “Frank” Duffy and daughter of the late Daniel and Lucille (McMeel) Dorgan. Lucille worked as a RN for Albany Medical Center for many years prior to moving on to private duty nursing and concluded her career as a Clinical Supervisor for All Metro Health Care in 2010. Along with her passion for her profession, she loved children and spending time on Cape Cod. She lived, she loved, she laughed and she left. She will be missed dearly. Lucille is survived by her children, David D. Duffy of Clifton Park, Linda M. Burns (Daniel)of Niskayuna, Michael B. Duffy of Hardwick NJ, Patrick J. Duffy (Madelyn)of Baldwinsville, Timothy S. Duffy (Cynthia)of Tomball TX, Kelly Ann Clement (Scott) of Niskayuna and Sean F. Duffy of Niskayuna. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre for the love and excellent care given over the past 2 ½ years. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Magin and Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Ave., Albany on Sunday evening from 4 to 6. In memory of Lucille, donations can be made to The Journeys Program at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
