Rose C. Fuhr went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Rose was a lifelong Albany resident. She was employed by St. Peter’s Hospital and worked in the Medical Records Department for many years. She was a devoted communicant of St. Patrick’s Church where she served as a lector, eucharistic minister and was also a member of the choir. Faithful and loving wife of the late Charles E. (Bud) Fuhr; cherished mother of John E. and his wife Marilyn Fuhr and Mary Nowosielski and her husband Paul; beloved grandmother (Mimi Rose) of Christopher (Laura) Nowosielski, Colleen (William) Whelly, Cara, Elizabeth and Kathryn Nowosielski, John Jr. (Amy) Fuhr and Kristin (Andrew) Ignatz. Inseparable best friend of the late Rita Corea. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at Magin & Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Ave., Albany, on Sunday, February 28th from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Shrine Church of Our Lady of The America’s, 283 Central Ave., Albany, on Monday, February 29th, at 10am; interment, St. Agnes Cemetery. If desired, contributions to Rose’s memory may be made to The Shrine Church of Our Lady of The America’s memorial fund.
