Brian C. Viele

ALBANY – Brian C. Viele, 42, passed away peacefully on Friday October 10, 2014 at the Hospice Inn at St Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Brian was born April 17, 1972 in Albany to Glenn and Joan Viele and remained at home with them until his passing. Brian attended the Center for Disability Services daily where he was loved by everyone. Brian’s smile always brought joy to any room, and his laughter filled the air. He was a devoted fan of Yankee baseball games and listening to Barry Manilow. Additionally, he loved visiting Brigantine Beach, NJ in the summer and Sarasota, FL in the winter. “Uncle B” was always surrounded and loved by his nieces and nephews who joined him in his many adventures. Brian was predeceased by his grandparents Edwin and Marjorie Vickers and Ernest (Bud) and Grace Viele. In addition to his parents, Brian was survived by his loving sisters Bridget (Steve) Pardo of Latham, Megan (Wade Engel) Viele of Albany and Kathryn (Kevin) Russell of Malta. He was “Uncle B” to Steven, Ryan and Olivia Pardo; Bailey and Victoria Engel; Dustin and Chloe Russell. He was also survived by many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family wishes to thank Dr. Mary Ellen Drislane for her many years of devoted care for Brian’s many illnesses. The family also wishes to thank all the staff at the Center for Disability Services, especially Dr. Collins, Karen, Denise, Keith, Vera and Bill for their loving care. Thank you to the staff of St. Peters ER and Hospice for the love and care provided to Brian and his family. We were truly blessed to have had an angel in our lives. You have been an inspiration to us all. We love you, Uncle B… now go play in the sand. Funeral services will be held at Mater Christi Church, 35 Hurst Ave. Albany at 9:30 Tuesday morning. Friends and family can call on Monday evening at the Church from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Center for Disability Services at 314 So.
